As we head into the holiday season, I decided that it was the perfect opportunity to set a neutral tablescape with a touch of the season. Thanksgiving and Christmas make for the most beautiful tablescapes, but let's cherish this last week or two of Fall tablescapes. To mix it up a bit, I went with preserved cotton as my focal point. Preserved florals and cotton are my newest obsession. This process allows us to bring natural, authentic cotton to our tables without it dying or rotting.
I focused this table around preserved cotton by giving height to my centerpiece using our Norah vases and tall stems. To add texture and layers to my centerpiece, I placed preserved grapevine from Napa Valley and some driftwood from Pickwick at the base of the cotton.
To make these pop off of our white table, I built a base of frosted grass bundles. On each side of my centerpiece, I placed a pastel green gourd to bring a pop of Fall to the table.
For my place settings, I started with McCarty chargers as a base, added our new Linen Ceramic Plates, topped with our Oatmeal napkins and a piece of preserved cotton. I finished off with our new bubble glass tumblers.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are fast approaching, so soak up this time of Fall tablescapes. Next week, we will prepare our tables for upcoming parties and family gatherings for the holidays! Enjoy and have a great week!
